I don’t feel like a patient of Dr Boitet, I feel like extended family! Have felt this way since day 1..... 27 years ago! He cares for not only your dental health but your all around well being. My only regret is the years I did’t stay with the office, but I ended up right back at Doctors Lake Family Dental and will never leave again!!!

Update to my previous review: After receiving a follow up call from Dr. Boitet, explaining what had transpired with regard to my previous review, I was quite impressed with the level of professionalism and courtesy presented in the call. Anyone from the office could have called, but the fact that Dr. Boitet took the time look into the matter and speak with me personally speaks volumes about his leadership and practice. Thanks, Dr. Boitet! ________________________________________________________________________ Original review: To start, Dr. Shirley and the dental staff were awesome! They get 5 stars all day! So why the two star review? To start, I was invoiced $251.50 more than what I should have paid, for a procedure covered by my insurance. After the procedure was completed and the claim processed, Doctors Lake Family Dental failed to inform me of the over billing. It wasn't until I received an EOB from my insurance company, that I realized I was overcharged by $251.50. Typically the cost of treatment given up front is an estimate, and the provider usually goes over what is covered by your insurance benefits. Unfortunately Doctors Lake Family Dental did not go over my benefit coverage, which led to an additional charge that I was not made aware of prior to treatment. Also unfortunate, here is where the initial 5 star review takes a hard dive to 2 stars. When I called Doctors Lake Family Dental to question the $251.50 overpayment, I was advised the money I overpaid was put in an account for me to use at a later date. Seriously? Over a month had passed since my treatment and at no point did Doctors Lake Family Dental notify me that I had overpaid by $251.50, which is a pretty significant issue. Regardless of the amount, it's not acceptable to hold a persons money from them without their knowledge. When I asked why I had not been notified of the over payment, their response was that they usually just put overpayments into an account, but that they could refund my money if I wanted them to... Although their response did not answer my question about not being notified, I just asked for them to refund the money. The person I was speaking with said a check for $176.50 would be mailed and when I questioned the $75.00 difference, I was told someone would call me back that day to review. I did not receive a call back. After a few days passed, I called to advise Doctors Lake Family Dental that I had not received a call back to explain the $75.00 deduction from my refund. I was again told that someone would call me back, and again I did not receive a call back. After a week passed, I called Doctors Lake Family Dental to let them know that I had not received my refund or a call back about the additional $75.00 charge. I was placed on hold and another person picked up and proceeded to inform me that although my insurance company did cover my treatment, they did not cover the type of material Doctors Lake Family Dental used, and that I was responsible for the difference of $75.00. When I asked why I was not informed of the material not being covered prior to treatment, their response was the insurance company does not always disclose that. I've had the same insurance company for many years and given my experience with previous providers, benefit coverage, including materials, was always reviewed prior to treatment, which Doctors Lake Family Dentist failed to do. However, when I advised them that I had not received my refund and asked if they could confirm it was issued, their response was that the person who handled refunds was not in the office, but that they would leave a note and closed in saying refunds are sent out daily and I would be getting it soon. Two weeks have passed and I have yet to receive my refund.

Originally went for a broken tooth, and I was not in great spirits, do to pain. But Drs lake Family Dental, brought me in a timely matter address my Problem, and prevented a second tooth from the same fate. I feel comfortable during procedures, which is not normal for me with other Dentist.

Wonderful office. Always friendly and professional. They focus on your comfort and ease while performing all procedures. I have known Dr Boitet for 30 years, and along with his partners, have provided the highest level of care. I highly recommend Doctors Lake Family Dental.

I’ve been coming to Doctors Lake Family Dental for at least 15 years and they are the best. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable of all dental issues all with a friendly smile on their faces plus have yummy treats when you check out.

I'm new to Florida, and hadn't been to the dentist in 2-3 years. When I found Doctor's Lake Family Dental, I was very worried that I would be in big trouble on my first visit! Luckily, my teeth were in pretty good condition, however, I needed some old fillings replaced due to slight deterioration, which can lead to much bigger problems. They hooked me up on my filling appointment. They were fast and efficient, with a good bedside manner.....and they even made me laugh! I'm glad to have found a good dentist nearby.
