Dental Implants. Dental implants are an excellent alternative to full and partial dentures. They are titanium posts that bond with your jawbone, topped with an abutment to hold a dental crown. Implants are long-lasting and easy to manage.

Invisalign. Invisalign is a comfortable, discreet way to straighten your teeth. The system includes a graduated set of plastic aligners that gently shift the teeth into optimal positions. It is an excellent choice for adults and older teens who feel that traditional braces would be distracting.

Same Day Crowns. We use the CEREC™ system to create crowns in one visit. This system saves the patient and dentist time and enables patients to walk out with a lifelike restoration. The CEREC™ system includes a 3-D digital intraoral scanner that replaces impressions and makes the restoration more accurate. Same-day crowns made with CEREC™ technology are more convenient and longer-lasting than crowns from the lab.

Sleep Apnea. Obstructive sleep apnea causes patients to experience breathing disruptions at night. Our dental sleep specialists can prescribe custom oral appliances like the Prosomnus® and Dynaflex® systems to restore healthy sleep patterns.

Pediatric Dentistry. At Doctors Lake Family Dental, we believe that a strong foundation for oral health begins in early childhood. We offer comprehensive oral exams for children, cleanings, X-rays, dental sealants, fluoride treatment, and restorative dental treatments like fillings and crowns. We can prescribe custom mouth guards to protect the teeth during active sports.

Sedation Dentistry. Our practice understands the needs of anxious patients. We offer sedation dentistry services, including conscious oral sedation and nitrous oxide. Nitrous oxide is a safe gas that you inhale through the nose. Its effects wear off quickly, meaning you can drive home from your appointment.

Periodontal Procedures. Gum disease is a leading cause of tooth loss. To combat gum disease, our office provides periodontal procedures like scaling, root planing, splinting, and placement of antibiotics. Other periodontal procedures include crown lengthening, gum grafting, and bone grafting.

Neuromuscular Dentistry. Using neuromuscular dentistry techniques, our office can treat temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ or TMD). We may use custom oral appliances or orthodontic treatments to realign the jaw and correct muscle tension.

Do you accept uninsured patients?

We do. We are happy to accept all credit cards and CareCredit financing.  If you do not have insurance and are paying with cash or check, we offer a discount. Inquire with our front office staff about discounts for uninsured patients.

Are restorative treatments covered by insurance?

All insurance policies are a little bit different. Most offer some coverage for fillings and crowns. Check with your insurance carrier for specific coverages.

Do you provide children’s dentistry?

Yes! We offer pediatric dentistry to patients as soon as their first tooth erupts.

Do you offer extended office hours?

We know it can be hard to get to the dentist between normal working hours of 9 am - 5 pm. For your convenience, we offer appointments as early as 7 am and as late as 7 pm.

Why are regular dental visits important?

Regular exams and cleanings can help to prevent and detect dental problems and ensure long-lasting oral health. See your dentist at least two times a year for a comprehensive dental exam and cleaning. It would be best if you also received X-rays annually to check for emerging dental issues.

Why is gum disease dangerous?

Periodontal or gum disease could cause stroke, heart disease, and preterm birth, among other severe conditions. Long-term inflammation may be the culprit of systemic disease. Controlling gum disease leads to better overall health.

Is Invisalign as effective as braces? 

Yes, Invisalign works as well as braces. It may not work for people with severe alignment issues, but it is appropriate for most patients.

First, know that you are not alone. Many people feel nervous about seeing a dentist. Talk to your dentist or hygienist about your concerns. They can recommend comfort measures for you, including sedation.
